Linda R. Judge is an intellectual property and transactional attorney with over 20 years legal experience representing private and public entities, from startup through many phases of growth and development. Linda is a registered patent attorney with a technical background in life sciences and over 10 years scientific experience in the laboratory setting as a bench scientist and manager. Linda often plays a strategic role that interfaces between legal, business and technical teams.
Linda assists public and private organizations with commercial transactions including intellectual property diligence, patent counseling, drafting, and prosecution, technology transfer, joint ventures, option and license agreements, as well as a wide variety of commercial contracts including service, supply, manufacturing, distribution, consulting, clinical trial, and material transfer agreements.
Linda has extensive experience representing startups and established companies in simple and complex transactions in numerous industries, with an emphasis on biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, cleantech and medical device technologies.
Linda has practiced at large and respected law firms including DLA Piper where she was a partner who worked on both corporate and patent matters, and Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, where she worked on the Mergers and Acquisitions, Securities and Corporate Team. In addition to “Big Law” experience, Linda has worked at small law firms and in-house in a legal or scientific capacity at several biotechnology companies including Affymetrix, Inc., Theravance Biopharma, LS9, Inc., AcelRx Pharmaceuticals, Cell Genesys, Systemix Inc. and Genelabs, Inc.
Linda is an angel investor who has invested in numerous startups across many technical areas and serves as an advisor, mentor and coach for several small companies.
